Jeff Moriarty is a Senior Corporate and Securities Attorney at Austin Legal Group. He provides his clients with a pragmatic approach and utilizes an intuitive legal mindset to collaboratively meet each client’s specific needs. His practice focuses on corporate and securities transactions, SEC ’33 and ’34 Act reporting and compliance, business structuring and entity formation, and private debt and equity financing.
Previously Jeff was the General Counsel, Senior Vice President and Corporate Secretary for a fintech company currently listed on Nasdaq. As a senior leader, he was responsible for executing strategic and legal objectives at a growth-oriented public company. He was instrumental in the company beginning to report to the SEC, preparing it to uplist to Nasdaq and have a successful follow-on public offering. Prior to this, Jeff managed a law firm focusing on the legal needs of small to mid-sized businesses.
Jeff graduated Magna Cum Laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law where he was an Articles Editor for Thomas Jefferson Law Review and was a Jefferson Fellow. He also worked as a Judicial Extern for the Superior Court of California as a student. Prior to his legal career, Jeff worked in the securities industry obtaining his Series 6 and Series 66 FINRA licenses.
